"If you believe it's time to put principles above parties, character above campaign promises, and Common Sense above all -- then I ask you to read this book...."
In any era, great Americans inspire us to reach our full potential. They know with conviction what they believe within themselves. They understand that all actions have consequences. And they find commonsense solutions to the nation's problems.
One such American, Thomas Paine, was an ordinary man who changed the course of history by penning Common Sense, the concise 1776 masterpiece in which, through extraordinarily straightforward and indisputable arguments, he encouraged his fellow citizens to take control of America's future -- and, ultimately, her freedom.
Nearly two and a half centuries later, those very freedoms once again hang in the balance. And now, Glenn Beck revisits Paine's powerful treatise with one purpose: to galvanize Americans to see past government's easy solutions, two-part monopoly, and illogical methods and take back our great country.

This book is quite a read. It truly makes me wonder where our great country is headed. It is time for ordinary citizens to wake up and do something before it is too late.

Glenn does all the research for us and puts it into language we can all understand. He gives us facts and makes us think and hopefully act accordingly.

This is a wonderfully written, straightforward response to the utter futility with which our federal and state governments consistently conduct themselves. It is not a high and lofty exegesis of governmental procedure but rather a simple and very readable commentary on the many areas in which our government simply acts in their own self interest, for their own purpose, and to their own gain. A must read for anyone who is tired of the stupidity exemplified each and every day by our elected officials on frivolous nonsensical bills. For those who are mystified by the so called " anti-government nut jobs" this book with show that the things which drive us to the point of insanity are common concerns that are often overlooked and equally disturbing to almost everyone. Perhaps, after reading this book blood will shoot from your eyes as well.

Thomas Paine had it right, Glenn Beck put it in perspective for today. Every American must read this book to understand this great nation. Where is the common sense in our government today. It is the great people of America that will make the difference. Thanks to Glenn we have been reminded what our forefathers had in mind, and why the Constitution was written the way it was. Let us not destroy it for the purpose of the evil politicians, let us fight for the purpose of all honest abiding citizens. Thanks to the publisher, and Glenn Beck for the reminder. Great READ, and I've already passed it along.

Sirs:
You probably don't want a review from me on this order. I have never been so dissapointed in my life. I ordered a book from you and received two DVD's instead. I requested an exchange, received permission to return the DVD's for a book and did so. One week later I again received two DVD's of the book. I AGAIN emailed for permission to return them for the book. I eventually received a phone call from someone who could barely speak English (no surprise since everyone hires cheap labor whether illegal or not)and could not make the jerk understand what had happened. Eventually he inferred that since he couldn't understand what I wanted he would return my money. Presumably my credit card will be reimbursed someday. At this point I still do not have Glen Beck's book and I see little chance of obtaining it. Considering my rotten experience with my latest order from Amazon it will be a rare occasion that I order anything else from you.
